Kleine Bremer Höhe has seen a few things. When it was built in 1849, Berlin was a very different city, and housing for working families here was a remarkably progressive idea.

More than 175 years later, the houses are still standing. Thankfully.

For decades, the houses stood empty. Then the listed ensemble was carefully restored over four years. What told a story, was allowed to stay. What makes life better today, was added.

Since 2021, people have been living, cooking, working, celebrating and sleeping here again, and no doubt talking about the neighbours from time to time.

Today, nearly 200 people from around the world call Kleine Bremer Höhe their home.
